Naomi : Talks about her old abusive relationship and says ” . When you have to walk through a fire you have to know that in order to be a diamond you will have to get burned “

Introduction

Well my name is Naomi. I’m from Idaho and right now I nanny so I can be with my two year old all the time

What inspires you everyday?

My God, my son and my man. I think sometimes myself, because there’s always a want to be better than I was yesterday

What is some words of wisdom you live by?

There are so many, but basically it boils down to making everybody feel like a somebody. Also to see the good in every person, every circumstance, and in every conflict. And to always have hope that the road you’re on will eventually yield to a sunrise.

What is the best thing that has ever happened to you in life?

Definitely my son and my man

What is a positive message you would like to tell others?

That being gentle is not a weakness. You can be both soft and powerful. You can be both kind and a leader. And no matter the situation you’ve walked through you do not have to lose your tenderness

What is your ultimate goal in life?

To help relationships thrive

Last question how do you feel about life and what changes you made to get where you are now?

That’s a good question.. how I feel about life? I think for the most part I feel really optimistic. I haven’t had the easiest life but I’ve had the most blessed life. I was in an abusive relationship when I got pregnant. That was probably the hardest thing I had to go through but out of that relationship I received one of my greatest gifts, my son. And I think that life is that way. You get in a bad spot but if you want to get out you can. And if you choose to life a better life then it will be better. I truly believe we have control over our own happiness. The changes I made…

Leaving that abusive relationship was the best change. It not only helped me be more excited about the baby but it helped me become a stronger, more loving woman. I had to sort through a lot of negative emotions to stay strong for my family and take the higher road. Lord knows I didn’t want to take the higher road. But once I did, I became a lot gentler. I loved more deeply. I forgave more easily and I never regretted what happened. When you have to walk through a fire you have to know that in order to be a diamond you will have to

get burned. And if you’re on a dark road you have to know

that eventually it will yield to a sunrise
