Tell us a little about you(your background and how was it like)?
My parents were born in Durango & Zacatecas, Mexico. My dad had crossed the frontier in the year 1984, taking him 6 years just to get his citizenship, my mother crossed Rio Grande in 1992. I was born in Kansas, U.S.
What do you value most from your country?
I value the belief of the American dream. The land of opportunities and the place where your dreams come true. I value the acceptance and diversity.
Who influences you to go after your goals?
My main goal in life is to impress and live off my own goals with the help of my dad. As the businessman he is , i want to be able to manage a company and be the type of people to buy, repair, and sell for more. Though before all this , I want to get into a university, like many my age though; it’s unsolved what I want to do.
What advice can you give a teen about going through hardships?
A wise father once told me , “Don’t listen to what other people think.” If anyone is ever negative just take those comments and think positive. If you’re mind is ignoring anything negative then you’re off to a good start. Get involved at school and give people a positive outlook on you.
If you and only three wish to change your family or the world’s life what would they be?
One , I would wish for everyone to be able to find the good place in their heart and go out one day and volunteer in various organizations.
Two, I would wish air conditioning in the first 300 houses we see that don’t have it. I would choose either Arizona or Nevada.
Three, I would wish to be able to have enough money to help any family member get something they’ve always needed.
Was there a time u helped others out?
I am in Student Council where we help people at school everyday, for Anti-Bullying week we passed around clothespins and told people to pass it on which had a saying on each one. Every weekend I try to go volunteer at my local organizations and either help serve food or package food for a couple of hours.
Are you happy in the position you are now in life?
I’m in that age group where you can’t really control your life , but you can control your actions towards things. I’m at the point where I have a voice and it’s important to use it. Yes, I have a great family and wonderful parents that help me every single day.
