I’m Tayah from England Milton Keynes. I have a big place in my life for gymnastics, it’s always been there and will always be there. I have a part time job coaching gymnastics at the minute. I did have a nursery job, but due to COVID, their wasn’t many hours to give me.
What inspired you to get into gymnastics?
My friend in primary school taught me my first handstand. The PE teacher saw us and told our parents about a gymnastics centre near by. I went immediately! Every session was fun. I trained in acrobatic gymnastics going to competitions all over England! Not always winning but watching everyone who was better than me always pushed me further!
What is some words of wisdom you live by?
Remember how far you have come, not how far you need to go! You are not where you want to be, but you are not where you used to be either!
What is your ultimate goal in life?
To stay happy! No matter what life throws at me. I also would love for my customised shoe business to flourish!
What is a positive message you would like to tell others?
Always remember your current situation is never your final destination, keep pushing through the hard days because it can only get better from there!
What is a moment in your life that was life-changing for you?
I would say having a house at 17 years old paying for all the rent, I was in a really good place. Since COVID though it has all gone downhill, but looking on to bigger and better things!
Last question how do you feel about life and what are some changes you went through to be where you are now?
Sometimes life can be hard, harder than others. But we all need to remember that we don’t know what goes on in others life’s. If you can make someone smile do, because that might be the only reason they smile that day! Recently I have had drastic changes to my life! I had my own house, now I don’t. I had a full time job, now I don’t. I’m getting back on my feet and that’s all that matters. Times may be hard, but keep pushing through and you will get there eventually!
