Olivia Gunn is an artist inspiring the world, Read Story!

Introduction

So my name is Olivia Gunn, I’m 23 years old from Ohio! I’m an artist and have been pursuing music for 4 years. In school, I did all the musicals/plays, band/3 choirs. I always knew I loved music but my parents really pushed me to do something “more normal”. So I went to college for 2 years & ended up dropping out because I wasn’t satisfied with the path I was paving for myself. (When I started making beats in class I realized that was probably the right decision 🤣). And ever since I’ve been making all of my own tracks from scratch and working towards my dream! I am so much happier now and wouldn’t want it any other way.

What inspires you to do what you do?

I’ve been through a lot of pain in my life and I love that music is a healthy release of that energy that can also help other people. I can remember countless nights laying on my floor and crying to a song on repeat! I don’t want people to cry lol but I really hope that I can be someone else’s comfort in their own times of pain. A lot of times music has been the only thing that made me feel something and I want to be there for other people through my art.

What is some words of wisdom you live by?

Good question! Here are a few. People’s negative words and actions are a reflection of their own internal struggles, not your worth. Happy people don’t bring others down. The only difference between who you are now and who you want to be is what you do. Discipline for most is the deciding factor between failure and success. Other people will believe in you when you believe in yourself. Confidence is key in so many situations. Get comfortable with yourself and recognize your value!

What is a positive message you would like to share with others around the world?

I would like to empower people to be happy with who they are and find happiness within themselves! Too many people depend on others for approval and their self-worth, I want to help people be independent and live awesome lives. ❤️

What is your ultimate goal in life?

☺️ honestly my goals in life I call the “3 pillars” – to be financially stable, doing what I love, around people that I love. As long as I have those three things I will always be happy! And of course in fulfilling those for myself I hope to spread positivity to everyone I meet in the process and make an impact, no matter how small. ❤️

What does true love mean to you?

True love to me is two individuals living life side by side and helping each other reach their true potential. True love to me is respect, boundaries, support. Appreciating the one you have for all that they are. I think true love is rare, but you can’t deny it once it’s found. It’s beautiful.

Last question how do you feel about life?

That’s a hard question! Life is tough. I feel like there’s so much negativity, especially in 2020. For me personally it’s been a struggle to keep a positive mindset with everything going on, but it is important. Life really is what you make it. I think whatever is important to you is what you should strive for, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. We spend a short time here but have the opportunity to make a huge impact, no matter what lane you’re in. So pursue your passions, spread love to others, and try to enjoy every single day you have. Because it’s never guaranteed. Stop saying “oh well I’ll be happy some day”, be happy now and appreciate all that you have.
